Driven by innovation, customer experience and a people-first culture, they are looking to appoint an Area Sales Manager to lead their Scotland & Ireland region during an exciting period of continued investment and growth.

Overview

This is a fantastic opportunity for an inspirational people leader to take ownership of a high-performing field sales team, driving commercial success while developing exceptional customer partnerships across the professional salon channel.

Leading a team of Business Development Managers, you'll be responsible for delivering regional sales growth, coaching and developing individuals, strengthening key customer relationships and ensuring an outstanding customer experience.

Working closely with the senior leadership team, you'll play an influential role in shaping regional strategy while driving a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
Lead, coach and develop a team of field-based Business Development Managers.
Conduct regular one-to-ones, field accompaniments and performance reviews.
Recruit, onboard and develop new team members.
Set clear objectives, KPIs and individual development plans.
Foster an inclusive, collaborative and high-performing culture.
Champion customer-first behaviours across the team.


Commercial Performance
Deliver regional sales targets and commercial objectives.
Analyse territory performance and identify opportunities for growth.
Forecast monthly, quarterly and annual sales performance.
Build and strengthen relationships with key salon partners.
Drive commercial excellence across the region through effective coaching and leadership.


Customer Experience
Ensure every customer interaction reflects exceptional service standards.
Support the team in developing long-term partnerships with salon customers.
Collaborate on new product launches, education initiatives and promotional activity.
Drive customer loyalty through a consultative approach and value-added support.


Coaching & Performance
Develop the team's sales capability through regular coaching and mentoring.
Support effective territory planning and business development strategies.
Improve commercial performance through continuous learning and feedback.
Recognise success while proactively addressing performance challenges.


Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner closely with Marketing, Education, Commercial and Senior Leadership teams.
Ensure consistent execution of commercial initiatives across the region.
Share customer insight to influence wider business decisions.
Contribute to strategic planning and continuous business improvement.


Customer & Industry Relationships
Build trusted relationships with key salon groups and independent businesses.
Support strategic commercial opportunities across the region.
Represent the business at industry events, education programmes and customer meetings.
Maintain strong awareness of industry trends and competitor activity.

Qualifications
Proven experience leading and developing field-based sales teams.
Background within professional hair, beauty, aesthetics or a related commercial sector.
Strong account management and territory management experience.
Demonstrated success delivering regional sales growth.
Excellent coaching, leadership and communication skills.
Commercially astute with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Full UK driving licence with willingness to travel across Scotland & Ireland.
