We are delighted to be partnering with our fantastic client, an innovative and fast-growing online retailer in the beauty and personal care space – to recruit a Buyer to join their Commercial team.

This is a key role in driving the growth of the beauty category through strategic brand onboarding, product curation, and supplier partnerships. You’ll be joining a mission-driven organisation with award-winning, consumer-loved brands sold across e-commerce channels to an engaged and loyal customer base.

About the Role
As Buyer, you will own the end-to-end buying process for beauty and personal care products, from identifying new brands and negotiating contracts to managing supplier relationships and delivering commercially successful product ranges. Leveraging your strong market knowledge and category expertise, you’ll ensure the product mix is competitive, trend-led, and aligned with the company’s growth ambitions.

You will play a pivotal role in bringing exciting new brands into the business, enhancing the customer offering, and optimising category performance through data-led decision making and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities
Brand Onboarding: Identify, pitch to, and successfully onboard new beauty and personal care brands to strengthen the product offering.

Category Management: Curate and manage a commercially viable, on-trend product range that meets customer needs and drives sales.

Supplier Negotiations: Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, negotiate terms, and secure the best possible commercial agreements.

Market & Trend Analysis: Monitor market activity, competitor ranges, and emerging beauty trends to inform buying decisions.

Product Performance Tracking: Analyse sales and margin data to assess product performance and make informed range recommendations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Marketing, Merchandising, and E-commerce teams to maximise product visibility and promotional impact.

Seasonal & Promotional Planning: Support promotional strategies and seasonal launches to drive category growth.

Candidate Profile
We’re looking for someone who brings:

4+ years’ experience in a buying role, ideally within beauty, personal care, or a closely related consumer category.

Proven success in onboarding brands and managing product categories to achieve commercial targets.

Strong negotiation skills and an ability to build long-term supplier relationships.

Excellent market awareness with an eye for trends and customer preferences.

Strong commercial acumen and experience using data to inform decisions.

Highly organised, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced e-commerce environment.

A passion for beauty and an understanding of the competitive retail landscape.
