Overview
We are seeking an experienced Head of Sales - EMEA to join on a 12-month maternity cover contract, reporting directly to the International Commercial Director. This role will lead the EMEA sales function, ensuring continuity of commercial strategy and driving performance across the region.
The position will oversee distributor and retail partnerships, lead regional sales strategy, and manage a small team while identifying new opportunities for growth. Key focus markets include Germany and Australia, working closely with distributor partners and major retail accounts.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Commercial Strategy
Develop and implement sales strategies across EMEA markets in partnership with key stakeholders.
Own and manage Joint Business Plans (JBPs) to support brand growth and retailer partnerships.
Drive revenue performance while ensuring return on investment across regional markets.
Maintain oversight of budgets including gross sales and trade spend.
Lead go-to-market strategies to support long-term brand growth.
Distributor & Retail Management
Directly manage distributor partnerships across priority markets including Germany and Australia.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key retail partners.
Identify new market opportunities and support expansion initiatives.
Team Leadership
Mentor and inspire team members while fostering a people-focused culture.
Ensure operational excellence through accurate forecasting, reporting, and KPI tracking.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Ensure distributors and retailers have the marketing and brand assets required to support launches and promotions.
Qualifications
5+ years’ experience in international sales, distribution management, or commercial roles.
2+ years’ people management experience.
Strong understanding of global market dynamics, retail strategy, and brand positioning.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
Experience working with global beauty retailers or distributors is highly desirable.
German language skills are advantageous given the regional scope.
