Refyne are recruiting on behalf of a purpose-driven professional beauty organization dedicated to empowering and elevating the salon community worldwide. Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Associate Director/Director, Education to lead the development and execution of education programs, events, and training initiatives for professional distribution partners and salons.
This role is ideal for a collaborative leader with a strong background in professional education, curriculum design, and team management within the beauty or haircare industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping the global education strategy, aligning it with commercial objectives, and ensuring impactful learning experiences for stylists and partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute the global professional education strategy in alignment with the organization’s business goals.
Serve as the primary point of contact for professional distributors in North America, overseeing project execution and alignment with sales objectives.
Create innovative, stylist-led education content and curriculum that reflects industry trends and expertise.
Lead, mentor, and develop the professional education team, ensuring consistent performance and growth.
Collaborate with internal teams across Sales, Marketing, Product Development, and Events to ensure education initiatives are aligned with brand messaging and launch timelines.
Manage the digital education platform, developing engaging content in collaboration with marketing and creative teams.
Build strong partnerships with distributors, salons, and corporate accounts to deliver impactful training programs and events.
Direct large-scale education events, trade shows, and brand activations to elevate the professional presence within the market.
Oversee the creation and delivery of corporate account trainings, both in-person and virtually.
Support global education initiatives, including distributor launches and international training programs.
Candidate Profile:
Cosmetology license required.
7–10 years of experience in professional education within the beauty, salon, or haircare industry.
Proven success developing and executing education strategies for distributors, salons, and stylists.
Demonstrated experience managing, training, and developing education or field teams.
Strong understanding of professional salon distribution models and the stylist landscape.
Skilled presenter with the ability to facilitate both in-person and virtual training sessions.
Exceptional communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.
Proficiency with digital learning tools, webinar platforms, and remote training technology.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
