Overview

We are seeking a Performance Marketing Manager to lead the execution and optimisation of the brand's digital acquisition strategy across a diverse mix of paid media and retention channels.

Reporting into the Growth function, this role will be responsible for managing performance marketing activity across Retail Media Networks, Paid Social, Paid Search, Email, and SMS. The successful candidate will combine strong analytical expertise with hands-on channel management experience to drive customer acquisition, maximise return on investment, and support long-term business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Performance Marketing Strategy & Execution

Own the day-to-day management and optimisation of paid media activity across multiple acquisition channels.

Execute and optimise campaigns across Retail Media Networks, including marketplace advertising platforms and retail media environments.

Manage Paid Social activity across key platforms, ensuring efficient customer acquisition and scalable campaign performance.

Oversee Paid Search campaigns, driving qualified traffic and maximising conversion opportunities.

Continuously monitor campaign performance, adjusting budgets, bidding strategies, targeting, and creative variables to improve efficiency and return on investment.

Identify opportunities to scale acquisition while maintaining strong performance against key commercial metrics.

Email & SMS Marketing

Own the strategy, execution, and optimisation of email marketing campaigns across the customer lifecycle.

Develop and manage automated customer journeys, including welcome programmes, educational content, promotional campaigns, and retention initiatives.

Lead SMS marketing activity, delivering timely and personalised customer communications that support engagement and conversion objectives.

Build and refine audience segmentation strategies using customer behaviour, lifecycle stage, engagement history, and purchase data.

Conduct ongoing testing across messaging, creative, send times, and campaign structures to improve performance metrics.

Partner with CRM and analytics teams to ensure accurate customer data, reporting, and attribution.

Creative Strategy & Optimisation

Collaborate closely with Creative and Brand teams to develop high-performing campaign assets.

Provide data-driven feedback on creative performance, audience engagement, and conversion drivers.

Develop structured testing roadmaps across creative, copy, landing pages, and customer journeys.

Identify new opportunities to improve campaign effectiveness through creative innovation and audience insights.

Audience Development & Customer Acquisition

Develop and refine audience targeting strategies across all performance marketing channels.

Leverage first-party data and platform insights to improve customer acquisition efficiency.

Identify new audience opportunities and market segments that support growth objectives.

Build scalable acquisition frameworks that drive both short-term performance and long-term customer value.

Reporting & Performance Analysis

Monitor and report on key acquisition, retention, and revenue metrics across all channels.

Build and maintain reporting frameworks that provide clear visibility into campaign performance and commercial impact.

Translate performance data into actionable insights and recommendations for senior stakeholders.

Support forecasting, budget planning, and investment decisions through data-driven analysis.

Work closely with leadership to refine attribution models and improve understanding of cross-channel performance.

Budget Management

Manage media budgets across multiple channels, ensuring efficient allocation of spend.

Monitor return on investment and proactively shift investment towards high-performing opportunities.

Maintain strong financial discipline while supporting ambitious growth targets.

Experience

Minimum 4+ years' experience within Performance Marketing, Growth Marketing, or Digital Acquisition roles.

Proven experience managing paid media campaigns across Paid Social, Paid Search, and broader digital acquisition channels.

Experience working within consumer goods, e-commerce, retail, lifestyle, beauty, wellness, or high-growth consumer brands is highly desirable.

Experience managing significant marketing budgets and delivering measurable commercial results.

Technical & Analytical Skills

Strong hands-on experience with paid media platforms and campaign management tools.

Advanced analytical capability with the ability to interpret complex performance data and identify growth opportunities.

Experience using analytics, reporting, and business intelligence tools.

Strong understanding of attribution, customer acquisition, audience segmentation, and conversion optimisation.

Advanced Excel and reporting skills are highly desirable.
