We are delighted to be partnering with our fantastic client – an innovative and fast-growing online retailer in the beauty and personal care space – to recruit a Data Analyst to join their Commercial team.

This is a key role in driving the company’s pricing strategy across a broad range of product categories. You’ll play a central part in monitoring the competitive landscape, ensuring pricing is responsive, data-led, and aligned with the company’s commercial objectives. Working closely with Buying, Merchandising, and wider commercial teams, you’ll directly influence initiatives that enhance profitability and fuel growth in a highly competitive e-commerce environment.

About the Role
As Data Analyst, you will be responsible for tracking competitor activity, analysing pricing trends, and implementing real-time updates to ensure the business remains competitively positioned. You’ll bring a sharp analytical eye to identify opportunities and risks, inform data-led decision-making, and deliver regular performance insights that guide both tactical and strategic moves.

Your work will be instrumental in ensuring pricing changes are aligned with promotional campaigns, stock levels, and broader business goals making you a pivotal player in maximising sales and margin.

Key Responsibilities
Competitive Monitoring: Track competitor websites to analyse pricing, promotions, and stock levels.

Real-Time Pricing Updates: Implement swift pricing changes to maintain a competitive edge.

Data Analysis: Analyse trends, market data, and performance metrics to support data-driven pricing strategies.

Opportunity & Risk Identification: Spot commercial opportunities and potential risks based on market shifts and competitor activity.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Buying, Merchandising, and Marketing to align pricing with campaigns, promotions, and inventory levels.

Reporting: Generate and present regular competitor analysis and pricing performance reports.

Commercial Support: Contribute to broader pricing, product, and category development initiatives.

Candidate Profile
We’re looking for someone who brings:

Experience in a pricing, merchandising, or e-commerce analytics role.

Strong numerical and analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.

Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills.

A proactive approach to problem-solving and communication.

Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

An interest in e-commerce and awareness of beauty and personal care market trends.
