Role Overview
The Head of New Product Development (NPD) will lead the end-to-end innovation pipeline, from concept ideation to commercial launch. This role is central to driving the strategic development of new products that reflect consumer insights, emerging trends, and our brand’s core values. The ideal candidate is a seasoned leader with extensive experience in beauty or personal care, who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative, and creative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the global product development strategy across all categories (skincare, cosmetics, haircare, etc.).
- Manage a cross-functional team of formulators, project managers, and packaging specialists to ensure timely and on-budget execution of the NPD pipeline.
- Collaborate with Marketing, R&D, Supply Chain, Regulatory, and Creative teams to bring product concepts to life.
- Translate consumer insights and market trends into compelling product concepts and innovations.
- Oversee the development process from ideation through testing, regulatory approval, production, and launch.
- Identify and build relationships with global suppliers, labs, and manufacturing partners.
- Monitor product performance post-launch and lead continuous improvement efforts.
- Ensure compliance with global regulatory standards and sustainability goals.
- Drive innovation culture within the business through ideation sessions, trend scouting, and competitive analysis.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 8 years of experience in product development within the beauty, personal care, or FMCG industry.
- Proven track record of launching successful beauty products across multiple markets.
- Strong understanding of global trends, consumer behavior, and competitive landscape in beauty.
- Excellent leadership, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Deep knowledge of formulation, packaging development, and regulatory compliance.
- Passionate about innovation, with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Marketing, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
