About Our Client
Our client is a rapidly growing haircare brand seeking a hands on leader to ensure their products meet the highest standards of safety, efficacy and legal compliance across global markets.
The Opportunity
The Senior Manager will own the end to end quality control lifecycle, from raw material qualification to finished goods distribution, while serving as the internal subject matter expert for global cosmetic regulations, including MoCRA compliance in the US and registrations across the EU, UK and other international markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the designated Responsible Person for MoCRA compliance, including facility registrations, product listings and safety substantiation
- Lead international product registrations across global portals including the EU CPNP, UK SCPN and Health Canada
- Act as the definitive regulatory authority for product marketing and packaging, collaborating with Marketing, Legal and Product Development on claims substantiation
- Oversee adverse event reporting, recordkeeping and root cause investigations
- Audit, qualify and manage contract manufacturers, raw material suppliers and packaging vendors against GMP and ISO 22716 standards
- Oversee stability, compatibility and microbiological testing, reviewing and approving Certificates of Analysis and batch records
- Lead root cause analysis, CAPA and Out of Specification investigations
- Build, scale and maintain the Quality Management System, including SOPs and finished product specifications
- Act as regulatory and quality gatekeeper during NPD, advising on ingredient restrictions and formulation safety
Ideal Background
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology, Regulatory Affairs or related discipline, Master's preferred
- 7 to 10+ years of progressive experience in Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs within cosmetics, personal care or haircare
- Deep understanding of US FDA cosmetic regulations (MoCRA), EU CosReg, UK regulations and global compliance frameworks
- Strong background in cGMP, ISO 22716, ISTA transit testing and handling FDA inspections or third party audits
- Familiarity with haircare specific formulation challenges, including emulsions, surfactants and aerosols
- RAC or ASQ certifications a plus
